Visit to Wycombe Hospital

Visit to Wycombe Hospital

I visited Wycombe Hospital for a meeting with Raghuv Bhasin, Interim Chief Executive and Charmaine Hope, Chief Estates and Facilities Officer of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

During the visit, I visited the Cardiac Rehab Unit, the existing Cath labs and the Cardiac and Stroke Receiving Unit (CRSU), where some of the most critically ill patients are taken. These facilities are vital for delivering world-class emergency cardiac care to local people. I heard from the team about the imminent plans for the new building at Wycombe Hospital and the exciting plans to break ground in early 2026.

During my campaign for election, I was clear that my priority was to preserve the services from the existing hospital building, which is unfit for long-term use. I have reiterated my steadfast support to Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as they embark on this ambitious project. I will continue to fight for the delivery of modern, high-quality facilities and services that meet the needs of Wycombe residents—both now and for generations to come.

Raghuv Bhasin said:

We are committed to delivering outstanding care in an environment that matches the excellence of our clinical teams. This visit from Emma highlights the importance of this investment for the people of Buckinghamshire and we would like to thank her for her ongoing support.

The new building at Wycombe Hospital will replace facilities that are no longer fit for purpose and provide modern, high-quality spaces for critical services. Breaking ground in early 2026 marks a significant milestone in our long-term strategy to ensure patients receive world-class treatment close to home.
