I had a fantastic day at Bucks County Show.
It was great to speak to farmers and members of the rural community from across Buckinghamshire. I enjoyed catching up with familiar faces from Wycombe.
I look forward to continuing this close relationship and visiting their farms again soon.
Whilst at the show, I also spoke with the Rural Crime Taskforce lead, Inspector Stuart Hutchings.
Stuart has done an excellent job with this team. Since its launch, the taskforce has seized more than £5 million-worth of property, including vehicles, drugs, plant machinery and tools, as well as completing hundreds of investigations and supporting hundreds of people with crime prevention advice. Thames Valley Police are setting an example of how rural crime should be dealt with and how it can be prevented.
I look forward to working with this taskforce and Thames Valley Police to make Wycombe a safer place for all.
