My Name’5 Doddie Foundation

My Name’5 Doddie Foundation

I was pleased to discuss the important work of the Motor Neurone Disease charity, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, with constituents Claire Whatman and Sean McGrath.

Motor Neurone Disease affects 1 in 300 people in the UK and is the disease that medical professionals fear the most. My name’5 Doddie foundation was set up by the former Lions and Scotland rugby international, Doddie Weir.

The charity has raised an impressive £18 million for MND research and is supporting a trial to look at the effectiveness of the drug Tofersen in slowing the progression of the disease.

I look forward to hearing more about how the charity is making their vision for a world free from MND a reality.
