High Wycombe Ambulance Station

I enjoyed visiting the High Wycombe Ambulance Station and meeting the staff of the South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust , which receives up to 3,000 calls a day from members of the public. They are advocating for greater public awareness about when it is appropriate to call an ambulance and when people should turn to other services, including NHS 111.

After 14 years of Conservative neglect, the ambulance service is struggling with staff retention, low morale, and rundown vehicles and buildings. As part of the autumn budget, the government is investing £25.7 billion in fixing the NHS, our most valued public service.
