Since I was elected, numerous residents have raised concerns me about speeding and illegal parking in High Wycombe. As a mother, I deeply understand the importance of addressing these issues to ensure the safety of our children and the community as a whole.
After receiving so many concerns, I initiated a local survey to identify areas with high instances of speeding offenders, illegal parking and untaxed vehicles. Thank you to those who participated; your input has been invaluable in informing my reports to the local police.
I am pleased to see that Thames Valley Police has taken firm action. I will continue to collaborate with them to address these issues in our community.
Inspector Gehnich of Thames Valley Police said:
Thames Valley Police are committed to listening to our Communities and taking positive action to resolve issues. We recognise the negative impact speeding, illegal parking and untaxed vehicles have on our roads.
We have been working closely with Emma Reynolds MP’s team to identify issues and using results from our community polls to direct our Neighbourhood resources to the areas where they are needed most.
We will continue to focus on these issues, with upcoming speeding and joint DVLA operations planned. We share all of our work on our Facebook page, which highlights the need to keep reporting these issues through your Councillor, to Emma Reynolds MP’s team and on the Thames Valley Police website.
