I had a great time celebrating International Women’s Day at Wycombe High School. The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is accelerating action towards gender equality.
I was pleased to give an interview to WHTV, the UK’s only student-led school TV channel. The students posed some challenging questions about how to get more women into senior positions in business and politics.
Mrs Nicola Renyard, Headteacher at Wycombe High School, said:
We were delighted to welcome Emma Reynolds, the MP for Wycombe and Economic Secretary to the Treasury, to Wycombe High School as part of our National Careers Week activities.
Her visit was particularly fitting ahead of International Women’s Day, with this year’s theme of ‘Accelerating Action’.
At Wycombe High, we are committed to inspiring our students to aim high and achieve their ambitions, and this visit was a fantastic opportunity for our Politics students to gain valuable insights into public life and the world of politics.
I’m also incredibly proud of our student-led TV channel, Wycombe High TV, who conducted an excellent interview with Ms Reynolds – I encourage everyone to watch it!
